This is a typical vulture that scavenges for food from dead carcasses found by soaring over the savannah.

Field Notes:

It nests on cliffs and lays one egg per year. A source of poisoning is the drug Diclofenac which is used to treat arthritis in cattle, and which leads to kidney failure in vultures who consume carcasses of treated cattle
