Preferred Habitat

Spends most of the year in the open cold waters and only spends a couple of months on the coast to breed.

Distribution and Range

Only puffin found in the (North) Atlantic as far south as Maine in the west and Great Britain in the east.

Food

Dives for small fish using its wings as propulsion. Occasionally eats shrimp, molluscs, sea worms.
